Turning
We offer 5 axisCNC turning for components upto 850mmØ, and 1148mm
in length in most materials. Our facilities include twin 3 and 4 jaw
chucks for holding standard and irregular shapes such as castings, off
centre tooling, and auto bar feed magazines.
CNC
Mill/Turn
R E Thompson offer one hit mill/turn machining services for bar upto 42mmØ using
a twin pallet autofeed CNC lathe. Because turning operations
can be followed by real milling operations with one chucking,
changeover setup is not required, and major improvements
are achieved in production times compared to traditional
techniques.
Processes
R E Thompson can carry out all standard CNC turning processes including boring,
threading, facing, contouring, internal forming, milling, drilling,
pattern drilling and many other operations.

Volume
R E Thompson use a number of overseas business partners to supply high
volume turned parts machined directly from solid model data on high specification
machines, all of which undergoes rigorous quality controlled by R E Thompson's
inspection department prior to delivery or assembly.
