Outsourced Solutions
R
E Thompson aim to provide their customers the option of a
one-stop shop service which means they can spend more time
on their
core activities, safe in the knowledge that R E Thompson
oversee the whole process. Outsourced solutions fall into
two categories, simple one step outsourcing such as finishing,
and outsourcing
that requires more involved project management activities
and incorporates multiple processes and services from differing
sources. More information about Project Management.
Global
Sourcing
Utilising a wide network of global partnerships, R E Thompson are able to leverage
the cost efficient supply of high volume parts. All of our overseas partners
are vetted as supplying the highest quality products, and upon arrival, all outsourced
supplies are put through a quality control process which means you can expect
the same quality product that you have come to expect from R E Thompson no matter
where it was sourced.
Sub-Contracting
For certain contracts the use of resources outside of R E Thompson will be required,
for example, the supply of sheet metal brackets, panels and fascia as well
as metal finishing services including powder coating, air dry paint systems
(to
mil-spec, DEF STAN & BS specification) and
anodising. R E Thompson have a well established list of suitable
companies for sub-contracting work out. Each supplier is fully vetted and regular
visits are made to ensure that the expected level of service is maintained
and that work is carried out as agreed. As a leading company that practices
a flexible manufacturing strategy we are also happy to use the sub-contractors
of your choice.
Price
Leadership
We actively look for areas where savings can be made through both process changes
and supplier resourcing. Whilst
we value supplier loyalty where opportunity arises we will aim to reassess the
realised cost of supply, including the cost of low quality and poor delivery,
and look to identify potential cost savings. With new technology constantly emerging
such as laser machining, advanced materials and sophisticated manufacturing techniques
there
are
many
ways
to
leverage
good
value which in turn is passed on to our customers.
